INTROS & OUTROS

The two most important aspects of a script / film - how it starts and how it ends. The first few pages of your script (or minutes of a film) are incredibly important - now more than ever - as this is your one chance to grab the attention of your audience and keep them engaged. For a script, the first scene often determines whether it will eventually become a film. On the other end, the final act of a script / film is what the audience will most closely remember. After giving their time to your story and characters, a writer must tie up loose ends and leave the audience feeling "satisfied" as they leave the theater.
