CIN 429 - Festival Planning + Promotion is an invite only internship/class hybrid in which students work as Event Coordinators to design, organize and execute the Blackbird Film Festival at SUNY Cortland. The class provides real-world experience in the areas of Event Planning, Public Relations, and Marketing + Advertising as well as Media Production and independent filmmaking. Students are required to operate as professional team members of a non-profit organization.
