Framing What We See

In cinema, we know the material world only as it is relayed to us through the filmed images and accompanying sounds that we process in our minds. The filming of those images is called cinematography, which means motion-picture photography or, literally, writing in movement. How do images and they way in which they are presented alter our understanding of story and character.
